I wanted to pass on my gratitude for the effort and help that Tianyang gave to our family with our move from the US to Stockholm. We knew that finding the right housing in Stockholm was imperative to us being comfortable and settled as quickly as possible. Tianyang spent time with us understanding our housing needs including budget, proximity to shops/nature/schools etc. as well as size. This ensured Tianyang to get a good grasp on what we needed leading to her quickly finding a shortlist of three properties. As we were in the US we were not able to see the rental properties physically so Tianyang set up virtual meetings to take us around the properties. I was lucky enough to be assisted by Else and her team at Relocare when relocating to Denmark from India in January this year. If you are planning to move to Denmark, I highly recommend Relocare’s services. There are a lot of formalities (bank account, CPR number etc) for which Relocare smooths the way and makes it much easier to do. Especially with regards to opening a bank account in a pain-free and expedient manner, getting set-up with NemID etc – Relocare’s services are very useful as they essentially provide the introduction to the bank which makes things much faster. Most of these formalities were accomplished for me without me personally having to visit any office (except the Kommune office once). The housing market in Copenhagen is tricky (to say the least) and there are lots of lop-sided restrictive contracts that are not tenant friendly. Else helped me find an apartment that was not listed on the popular sites, whetted the contract and helped me get settled in. Relocare var i Iværksætterhuset den 20 sep. 2010, hvor 110 danske og internationale studerende lyttede opmærksomt til Else Christensens engagerede oplæg om kulturkompetence og relocation. Underviserne har efterfølgende rost oplægget for at have stor relevans for markedsføringsøkonom studerende, hvor mange har ambitioner om at arbejde internationalt.
