HR Staff

Should I have addressed the senior manager in another way? Was my handshake a bit too firm? Did I keep the eye contact a bit too long?

We all know it from our everyday life. First impressions last, and the challenge doesn’t become smaller, when people from different cultures meet.

A good and strong understanding of culture and differences is needed, if the new, foreign co-worker is to be eased into the team and function successfully.

Meeting the foreign employee – a good start

Relocare will give your company’s HR and administrative staff the tools to be better in making the newcomers feel welcome and safe, and to be better in setting the frames for a good relationship.

You will most likely save both time and money, when you can anticipate the problematic situations. A good start is worth a fortune.

The course Meeting the Expats equips HR and other administrative personnel with techniques to create a good welcome and an optimal start-up phase.

During the courses we will work with interesting and complicated cultural and intercultural aspects. We present a string of concrete hands-on tools and useful methods, which will make the workday easier and more comfortable for everyone, and ensure the best possible reception of the new colleague.

The attendees will be working with cases describing realistic situations, in which the participant typically will encounter challenges when meeting with new, foreign co-workers.

After the course the attendees will in a constructive manner be better able to define and handle the possible minor conflicts, stemming from the cultural differences. The solution is created through a range of practical tools, supporting and contributing to the successful reception and start up for your new foreign employee.
